The iconic audio brand Shure has launched two new models of SRH headphones.
These two new headphones feature significant design upgrades that Shure described as subtle improvements in audio quality.
The brand claims that the 2nd generation of its award-winning SRH440A & SRH840A models come with superior audio, long-wearing comfortability, and the standard Shure durability cherished by audio professionals.
The first generation of SRH440A & SRH840A was launched on 16th July, 2004, and 13th September, 2017.
While being designed with recording professionals in mind, these two new SRH headphones offer improved capabilities and a modern design.
According to the Global Product Manager, Sean Sullivan:
“Today’s users look for high-quality audio performance without sacrificing style and comfort. This new upgrade delivers just that, such as a low-profile design that looks excellent on camera and improved acoustics to assure clean & consistent audio reproduction.
The recording professionals and content creators are going to have the benefit from professional headphones that have Shure’s iconic sound signature along with fresh and modern design.”
These two new headphones have been optimized for critical listening and studio monitoring, which feature nuance improvements. They include lower harmonic distortion and more accurate left and right driver matching.
While talking about SRH840A, it comes with a correctly tailored frequency response powered by 40mm neodymium dynamic drivers. It can deliver rich bass, crystal clear mid-range, and extended highs.
For enhanced comfortability and a more evident listening experience, the SRH840A model has a wide padded headband and a foldable design.
On the other hand, the SRH440A headphones are made with a detailed frequency response that gives precise audio for podcasting, home recording, critical mixing, and editing.
With a consistent and neutral response, the SRH440A provides an appropriate representation of the audio, making it perfect to use during recording sessions.
Both the SRH440A and SRH840A also contain the following features:
- They have a closed-back, circumaural design that rests comfortably over the user’s ears and reduces background noise. These headphones give long-term comfort, ideal for lengthy recording sessions.
- A new industrial design with a matte finish is more photogenic than the previous design, and that’s why they are tough enough to withstand hard usage every day.
- A straight 9.84ft/m cable comes with each model to increase mobility in creative spaces.
