Bang & Olufsen just released an improved version of its gaming headphone, Beoplay Portal. This latest version has been available from February 17, 2022.
The former version was only available for Xbox, and its successor supports PC, PlayStation, and mobile gaming.
While the original headphone is still an excellent choice for gaming, the addition of increased connectivity, a wireless dongle, enhanced battery life of up to 42 hours assures that this updated version will satisfy every gamer’s requirement.
Last year’s version was one of the most expensive headphones on the market.
And the new edition is set at $499. We need to see if the upgraded edition will be worth the high price or not.
The company promises flawless ANC (active noise cancelation), mixing of feed-forward and feed-back ANC to accomplish full immersion and block out the external noise of the world.
The headphone has two custom-designed 40mm neodymium-magnet drivers to give a superior audio experience both in games and music.
Even the addition of Dolby Atmos should make for great surround sound and increased depth.
The company says that the new version has 42 hours of non-stop playtime with ANC and Bluetooth and 19 hours of wireless gaming with ANC.
This is a huge upgrade from the previous model, adding 18 hours of playtime with Bluetooth and 7 hours without.
Beoplay Portal PC PS is now available in Black Anthracite, Navy, and Gray Mist at Bang & Olufsen online and selected retailers.
