Turtle Beach and its house brand Roccat have announced true wireless earbuds specifically designed for the fast-growing mobile gaming trend. And the earbuds are Turtle Beach Scout Air and Roccat Sync Buds Air.
Both of the buds have similar prices ($99.99) and specifications, so it’s up to the users which one to choose for themselves.
They offer 5.1 Bluetooth connectivity for mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and Windows.
Each bud has a 6mm dynamic driver and offers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
What makes these earbuds suitable for gaming is the dedicated game mode for 60ms low latency performance.
The claimed battery life is up to 20 hours, 5 hours in the earbuds & 15 hours in the charging case. And they are IPX4 rated, which means they can resist sweat and water splashes.
Both of the pairs come with a dual microphone technology to ensure clear voice calls or chat sessions with game mates.
Turtle Beach and Roccat have their own dedicated mobile application for their respective earbuds. Users can access EQ settings and the game mode by using the corresponding apps.
They have touch controls on the buds, which can be remapped from the apps.
Juergen Stark, the chairman & CEO of the Turtle Beach Corporation, said that they are continuing to expand their portfolio of mobile gaming products so that gamers on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch can take advantage of using Turtle Beach and Roccat gear.
Both the Turtle Beach Scout Air and Roccat Sync Buds Air are now available to preorder on their official sites.
The products will be on sale from 21st March 2022.
